Out with the New, In with the Old

workers in machine shop

It’s THAT time of year when everyone’s talking about New Year’s resolutions, making improvements in their lives or homes, and ringing in the New Year. You know the old adage: ‘Out with the OLD, In with the NEW.’

At Peiffer, we relish the opportunity to make things new again each and every day. It’s part and parcel of our world in repairing and rebuilding old machine tools.

On a recent day in December, we experienced this JOY, as an old-made-new Pratt & Whitney Star-Turn 1800 Lathe (completely rebuilt and retrofitted) was loaded onto a tractor trailer for its journey back to making well-drilling components in western Pennsylvania.  Literally, as it departed, its ‘twin brother’ machine from the same shop floor was arriving for the start of that same transformative process.

There is no greater reward in our work than being entrusted with repeat business that affords us additional opportunities to make trusted old machine tools like new again….  Which brings further opportunities for increased production, higher quality, and greater levels of success for our customers.

As younger generations like to say:  Why we do what we do….

CHEERS from all of us at Peiffer Machine Services!
