A Word About the Peiffer People

Thirty people work together with one common goal: to represent the values of Peiffer Pride in all aspects of job performance. As stated right up front in the Peiffer Employee Handbook, it is each employee’s job to:

  (One employee, originally employed by Mr. Peiffer himself still works here today in 2010!)

The Peiffer Story

Peiffer Machine Services began in 1956, when founder Paul Peiffer built the original Peiffer Machine Shop just behind his house on the corner of Lancaster Avenue and Tanner Street in Mt. Aetna, Pennsylvania. He employed three craftsmen, one of whom is still working at Peiffer today. The original wood floor from that first shop still exists within the present-day facility, which now sprawls over 25,000 square feet under one roof, in addition to several auxiliary buildings for office and warehousing. From the beginning, the business has been involved in the repair and rebuilding of metal-working machinery, which has been the true “workhorse” of American manufacturing.

Our Warranty – The Peiffer Pledge

Years ago, a handshake from the owner of Peiffer meant a lot of things: an agreement to do the work specified by the customer, a promise to do the job right, a promise to deliver the finished product on time, just to name a few.

Today, we call this The Peiffer Pledge, our 12-month warranty on all areas of machine work performed by Peiffer (subject to proper operation and machine maintenance). Simply put, we stand behind our work. It's your assurance that doing business with Peiffer is a good, sound business decision.

Our Facilities

With over 25,000 square feet of workspace under one roof, Peiffer is one of the largest, most capable machine shop facilities in the nation. We house a full range of specialized tools and machines.

Jim Ressler, as President and Owner, continues the tradition of leadership and service set in place at Peiffer Machine by his father, Bob Ressler. Two of Jim's
daughters are now involved in
the family-owned business.
